Ulster County Man Arraigned on Charges Stemming from Fatal November Crash

Edward Lier, 20, of Wallkill was arraigned on Monday in Orange County Court on charges involving aggravated vehicular homicide in a crash that killed 15-year-old Alana Tadry. The crash occurred on November 19th on Route 32 in the Town of Newburgh. Lier was driving south at a high rate of speed passing other cars when he collided with an oncoming car. Tadry died at the scene. Image provided by: recordonline Two other passengers of Lier’s car were injured, as was the driver of the oncoming car. Lier was arrested Friday on a warrant. The indictment against him was unsealed Monday before Judge Robert Freehill. Bail is set at $35,000 cash or $100,000 bond. Lier will return to court on May 8th.
