According to the Times Herald Record, an accident involving a tractor-trailer rig has killed one person and forced the closure of a section of the NYS Thruway. Police say that rig jackknifed after 3am this morning south of Exit 23 near Albany . the southbound lanes between Exit 23 and Exit 22 have been closed. One person was found dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved. The Thruway was closed from Exits 24 and 23 after the accident and all lanes had been reopened at 8:30am this morning.
