A Saugerties man was hit a car yesterday evening and died when he was walking across Route 9W. Patrick Poliseno, 67, was hit northbound by a vehicle driven by Peter Gage, 55. No criminal charges have been filed but the investigation is continuing. Poliseno was treated by Diaz Ambulance before being taken to Albany Medical Center, where he later died of his injuries. Route 9W was closed for a about 5 hours while an investigation was done at the scene. Anyone who witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office at 845-340-3958.
