A Rock Hill woman died on the morning of June 7, after her car was struck by an SUV while she crossed an intersection in the Town of Liberty. Kim Gessner, 46, was traveling west on Ferndale-Loomis Road at about 9 a.m. when her 2008 Nissan Versa was struck on the driver’s side by a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling north on Route 55. Ghia Young, 41, of Woodbourne was driving. Gessner was transported to Catskill Regional Medical Center where she died. Young was treated for minor injuries.
