An Orange County pedestrian was hospitalized overnight with serious injuries after getting hit by a police cruiser. One of the town’s officers was driving on Route 209 around 10 p.m. when a male apparently jumped in front of the cruiser. The victim was flown to Westchester Medical Center. The Town Supervisor, Karl Brabanec, said that the officer was taken to Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis for shock and follow up, but he was not seriously injured.
