On Saturday, October 17th Finkelstein & Partners attorneys and staff attended the Fidelis Care Family Fit & Fun day at Colonie Center in Albany.
The Finkelstein & Partners table was in the center of the Kid/Safety Zone along with Cornell Cooperative Ext of Saratoga County, NYSCPOBA, Saratoga Sheriffs Dept., Albany Sheriff’s Dept., Colonie Police and the Albany FBI. We were able to meet our neighbors and community members throughout the course of the day and hand out some giveaways. A favorite was our children’s street safety coloring book, a fun and informative way for children to learn about how to safely play on sidewalks and how to avoid dangerous situations. Attorney Elizabeth Wolff took the stage to discuss the firm’s public service campaign, “Commit to Quit.”
According to DOT statistics, in the fifteen minutes that Elizabeth was on the stage twelve people were hurt by distracted drivers. We hope that Saturday’s audience took home an important message- there is nothing worth risking your life or another’s. Commit to quit. Read more here.
