On Saturday, June 18th part of I-84 near exit 13 was shut down as investigators tried to piece together the cause of a fatal crash that occurred just after 1:00pm.
According to authorities the crash involved two vehicles. It appears one driver was attempting to switch lanes and was rear ended, causing both vehicles to flip. One of the vehicles exited the roadway and landed in an embankment. The driver, and elderly woman, died in the crash. The occupants of the other vehicle were also injured and transported to an area hospital.
