Our Veterans’ Services Group (VSG) has done another exemplary job for a deserving veteran. The veteran served from 2004-2009 completing two tours in Iraq. She was diagnosed with PTSD based upon an in-service sexual assault and duty in a combat zone. She also suffered orthopedic injuries during her service in the Gulf. Her ratings combined to 90% but she was unable to work due to the increasing severity of her symptoms. VSG fought and obtained an increased rating for her PTSD and entitlement to the 100% rating based upon unemployability. The veteran received approximately $62,000 in retroactive benefits and will receive just benefits going forward.
