Albany Man Charged with Vehicular Homicide

The young man behind a tragic accident has been charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, and driving while intoxicated.

In the early hours of Monday, July 19th, a 22-year-old man driving along First Street struck several parked cars. The driver fled the scene and proceeded to Henry Johnson Boulevard, where he failed to stop for the stop sign.

As he blew through the stop sign he tragically struck another vehicle. The female driver of the other vehicle did not survive the catastrophic crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no telling how your life will change if you decide to get behind the wheel while intoxicated. For more information regarding impaired driving, click here.
