In the early evening hours of Saturday, January 24th police responded to a multiple vehicle crash on Pine Lane in Saugerties, NY.
One of the drivers lost control and struck a tree. He was airlifted to Albany Med. The other driver also struck a tree and suffered minor injuries.
Some of the details surrounding the wreck were inconsistent with a typical crash scene/scenario:
• The two vehicles involved in the crash were traveling in the same direction when the accident occurred
• Both vehicles were BMW’s driven by 21 year old males
• The drivers knew one another and were seen together the day of the crash
Police have charged one of the young men with reckless driving. Further charges are pending for both drivers.
