School Bus Flips on Snowy Roadway

The first winter storm of 2016 hit the northeast on Sunday, November 20th and continued through Monday, the 21st. The storm swept across New York, ranging in severity; some areas of the state were hit with several feet while other areas experienced a mere dusting.

A school trip planned for Pittsford, New York students was surprisingly not rescheduled. Students and teachers boarded a charter bound for New York City in the early hours of Monday, November 21. At approximately 9am the school bus crashed and flipped. The crash occurred roughly 25 miles north of Binghamton.

At least 8 students were injured in the crash. The injured students were transported to area hospitals and have since been released.
