More Drivers Relying on Hudson Valley Bridges

According to data from the New York State Bridge Authority, in 2016 traffic volume grew over 4% on five Hudson Valley area bridges, including: the Bear Mountain Bridge, the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, the Mid-Hudson Bridge, the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, and the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.

The most notable traffic increases occurred on the Bear Mountain Bridge and on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. In total the five bridges mentioned above were crossed 62.8 million times in 2016.
