An 86-year-old Middletown man is in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla after he was struck by a car during a hit-and-run incident on Monday evening. Donald Wester was hit around 5pm by a small silver sports utility vehicle as he checked his mailbox on County Route 1. The SUV continued on without stopping toward State Route 284. Wester was admitted to the hospital with head and spinal injuries. Police are still searching for the driver of the SUV. Anyone with information, please call 845-344-5300.
