Emergency crews responded to a crash on I-84 on Sunday, January 10th.
The single vehicle crash took place just before noon between exits 12 and 11 in the Glenham/Route 9 vicinity.
Crews found the vehicle overturned in an embankment. The driver was trapped inside of the vehicle. Officials were successfully able to rescue the victim from the vehicle.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash.
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) roll over crashes, like the crash that occurred on Sunday, most often occur when “a driver loses control of a vehicle, and it begins to slide sideways.” This type of car crash is “rare but deadly”
