General Motors Co has issued a recall for roughly 780,000 crossover SUV’s. The recall is due to a power gate lift issue. According to GMC, the gates could suddenly fall and hit people.
Dirt in the gas struts, which hold up the gate, causes potential wear and fail. As of early July the company has reported 56 injuries.
The recall includes the following:
- The Buick Enclave from model years 2008-2012
- The Chevrolet Traverse from 2009-2012
- The GMC Acadia from 2007-2012
- The Saturn Outlook from 2007-2010
