Early Thursday morning at approximately 3:30am a motorist traveling northbound on the Taconic Parkway near Nine Partners Road in Stanford veered off the road and into a tree. Sadly, the driver did not survive the crash. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash.
Just three days later, on August 30 another fatal crash occurred. According to investigators a van entered the Taconic traveling the wrong way. Just minutes later the van collided with a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, a 22 year old Stormville man, died at the scene.
