84 year-old Jaroslaw Mytrofaniuk was driving north on Lucas Turnpike in Kerhonkson, NY when he failed to see a County Waste Ulster garbage truck. The man was seriously injured after he rear-ended the truck, driven by Robert Deane, 50, of Middleburgh. Mytrofaniuk’s vehicle hit the rear of the garbage truck, went under it and pushed it two to three feet forward, and stopped in the southbound lane. Mytrofaniuk was flown to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla with head and chest injuries. Deane was unharmed.
