Newburgh – Managing partner Andrew Finkelstein of Finkelstein & Partners, LLP, one of New York State’s largest personal injury law firms, has been named to The Trial Lawyer magazine’s RoundTable of the 100 Most Influential Trial Lawyers in America for his significant achievements in the legal profession. As a member of The RoundTable, Finkelstein is recognized as being among the top 100 civil plaintiff and criminal defense attorneys in the United States.
Finkelstein is a noted consumer activist representing injured individuals against corporate wrongdoers or irresponsible parties. He has litigated wrongful death and personal injury cases arising from defective drugs and products, automobile accidents, falls due to defective conditions, dog bites, bus accidents, motorcycle accidents, construction site accidents and air craft crashes. In addition to winning several awards for his outstanding career, Finkelstein has handled dozens of multi-million dollar cases.
Following 9/11 Mr. Finkelstein served as Captain of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund through Trial Lawyers Care. Finkelstein & Partners, through Mr. Finkelstein’s oversight, obtained more than $10 million for victims and waived all legal fees associated with this representation.
“It is my good fortune to lead an outstanding team of legal professionals who share my profound commitment to always providing the best possible outcomes for the clients we serve,” said Finkelstein. “I am honored and humbled that this commitment on which our firm was built has earned me a place on The Trial Lawyer magazine’s 100 Most Influential list.”
This is Finkelstein’s second time being named to this prestigious list.
The Round Table is a select group of the most accomplished trial lawyers in the nation who have achieved extraordinary success in the courtroom and in the legal profession. The RoundTable’s selection process begins with surveys of attorneys to identify the most exceptional civil plaintiff and criminal defense attorneys. The Trial Lawyer magazine receives thousands of nominations from all over the United States. Each nomination is then assessed by an independent research team.
The attorney-led research team carefully reviews the credentials of every nominated attorney being considered for inclusion into the RoundTable. This review includes legal education, professional achievements, trial results, and influence in the legal community, among other criteria. Each factor applicable to that attorney is then scored and ranked. The 100 top ranking attorneys are then invited to become one of The Trial Lawyer magazine’s RoundTable members.
Finkelstein has been invited by the publishers and editors of The Trial Lawyer magazine to be recognized for his appointment to The Round Table’s list of America’s 100 Most Influential Trial Lawyers at the 2016 Trial Lawyers Summit, a conference being hosted in Miami Beach, Florida in February. Retired NFL superstar Terry Bradshaw will serve as the keynote speaker at the awards ceremony.
