The Takata airbag issues and recalls have been a long standing hot topic amongst consumers and federal regulators.
After a number of crashes and factory tests this is what we know: Some Takata airbags explode when deployed, shooting sharp objects at those in the vehicle. The malfunction has resulted in 10 deaths and over 100 injuries.
While authorities are still gathering information there has been a push from consumers and activists to issue a “total recall.” What do you think, is a total recall necessary?
