$700,000 Settlement: MTA Bus Crash

Our client was sitting in the back of an MTA bus in the Bronx with her two children. As the bus was exiting I95, it was involved in a two vehicle crash that caused several passengers to become ejected from their seats. Out of maternal instinct, our client used her body as a seatbelt to keep her children from falling. After tending to the medical needs of her children, she went to the hospital herself where she was treated for neck back and shoulder injuries. While her neck and back injuries got better, her shoulder continued to deteriorate to the point she required surgery.  The case was handled by Trial Partner Sharon Scanlon who settled the case for $700,000.
