Most often we are passengers in cars with a family member is a driver. Sometimes our family member causes a crash injuring the passengers in the car. That is exactly what happened when our 66-year-old client was in a car being driven by her younger sister. Our client’s sister became distracted, lost control of the car, left the roadway and struck a telephone pole. We filed a claim against the insurance company and ultimately recovered a $400,000 settlement for our client whose broken wrist required a surgical repair.
