February 18, 2014: Finkelstein & Partners to Host Blood Drive at Newburgh Location

Need is Critical – Public Invited to Attend this Friday, February 21

At last year’s blood drive, Andrew G. Finkelstein, managing partner of Finkelstein Partners LLP, was among those who rolled up their sleeve to give the gift of life at the firm’s February 2013 blood drive.

Newburgh, NY – As part of their annual recognition of Valentine’s Day and February as heart month, the team at Finkelstein & Partners LLP, one of New York State’s largest personal injury law firms, will be hosting a blood drive at their Newburgh location at 1279 Route 300. Partnering with the Hudson Valley Chapter of the New York Blood Center, the firm will host the blood mobile in the parking lot and invite both employees and the general public to participate.

The blood drive will be held Friday, February 21 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Appointments can be made by calling Lisa at 563-9452 or Anne at 563-9490 or by simply stopping by the blood mobile parked in the Finkelstein & Partners’ parking lot on Route 300, Newburgh.

Recent snowstorms in the region have forced the New York Blood Center (NYBC) to cancel more than 100 blood drives in the Hudson Valley, resulting in a critically low supply of blood. According to NYBC, the O Negative blood supply is below the minimum safety level and the platelet supply is also at a critical level.

Managing partner Andrew G. Finkelstein urges everyone who can to roll up their sleeve to make the life-giving donation. “At Finkelstein & Partners we firmly believe in giving back to the community we serve. It’s a critical commitment because this is our community too – we live here, we work here, we have families here. We’re very proud to demonstrate this commitment by once again partnering with the New York Blood Center,” said Finkelstein. “Keeping our blood banks full and ready to serve the community can help to save the lives of those who may one day be in need.”

The Blood Center renews blood donations every five days. In order to keep an adequate fresh supply on hand, they rely on the generous support of loyal donors and organizations like Finkelstein & Partners that are able to welcome the blood mobile to their location and provide employees with time during the work day to make the precious donation.
