Helmet Sensors Help Army Study Brain Injury

For the past six years, the army has been studying the effects of brain trauma through sensors implanted into soldier’s helmets. Known as HEADS, the sensors activate when a blow a sustained and it records acceleration information. It is expected that this data will assist in diagnosing and treating traumatic brain injuries.
