Presenting cle on veterans law

VSG Attorneys, Nancy Morgan and Christine Clemens, presented a CLE on behalf of the New York State Bar Association Committee on Veterans on Wednesday June 15, 2016 entitled "From Discharge Upgrades to VA Benefits." The CLE was hosted by Orrick, Herrington, and Suttcliffe, LLP in their Manhattan office. The CLE was well attended by approximately 80 attorneys from New York and New Jersey spanning both the private and public sectors, with an interest in serving Veterans.

Fatal Middletown Tractor Trailer Crash

Police are still investigating a tragic accident that resulted in multiple fatalities on Wednesday, June 1st. According to authorities a 29 year old woman driver, her 9 year old daughter, another adult, and two dogs were traveling on Interstate 84 in Middletown, New York when their vehicle ran out of gas.

Injured worker transported to an area hospital

A Walden, New York construction worker was directing traffic on Broadway St. in Kingston on May 13th when he was struck by an excavator.

The workers were repairing a Central Hudson Gas & Electric gas main when the incident occurred. According to authorities the excavator was backing up when it struck the Walden worker.

The injured worker was transported to an area hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries, including a broken leg.

Taconic parkway serious accident

On Tuesday, April 26th a serious crash occurred on the Southbound side of the Taconic in Hopewell Junction. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30pm at the Route 82 intersection. 

Authorities have yet to divulge the details of the crash, however categorized the incident as a “serious accident.”

On Sunday, April 30th two upstate New York men were involved in serious motorcycle crashes. The two incidents were completely unrelated. Sadly one of the cyclists did not survive the crash. The surviving motorcyclist was severely injured.

The first of the two incidents occurred in North Tonawanda, New York when a motorcyclist struck a utility pole. The driver of the motorcycle was seriously hurt in the crash. Officials have yet to divulge what caused the crash.
