Finkelstein and Partners Veterans Services Group attorney Christine Clemens recently took the lead in writing an AMICUS brief to the US Supreme Court in the Gray case on behalf of the National Organization of Veterans Advocates (NOVA), Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), National Law School Veterans Clinic Consortium (NLSVCC) and Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW) in support of the Petitioner Robert Gray.

New York State Bar Association, August 6th 2018- The Business Law Section’s fund, administered through The New York Bar Foundation, provides grant money to non-profit organizations offering legal advice and assistance to military veterans, minorities and other underserved New York residents seeking to establish their own small business enterprises in the State of New York.

The Foundation is now accepting applications for their 2019 Grant Cycle.

Veterans Affairs Department is looking for a team of developers to consolidate its far-flung agency websites into a single, user-friendly online portal.  The vendor would lead a complete redesign of the agency’s primary website, VA.gov, which would include building a new content management system within the VA Enterprise Cloud and migrating content from existing sites to the new platform, according to the request for information.

According to experts a key factor in preventing bullying is teaching children, teens, and parents how to identify bullying, and how to safely stand up to it. Nassau County recently signed a bill into law that will allow the County to create and operate an anti-bullying website.

The goal of the website is to provide residents with anti-bullying information, along with resources for adolescents and their families. Legislator Joshua Lafazan sponsored the bill.
