HOLD THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS ACCOUNTABLE AND CONFRONT THE REALITY OF VETERANS’ DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, OTHER OFFENSES AND MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS WITH VA-FUNDED SOLUTIONS

New Jersey Senate Bill 307 will be voted on Monday and it involves implementing a Veterans Criminal Diversion Program (VCDP).  Tomorrow, March 8th, at the Capitol, Room 209, at 11:00 a.m., there will be a press conference with a question/answer session.  A VCDP  is a specialized court that operates within the existing New Jersey Court System. VDCPs are monitored by judges and court staff who are familiar with the unique challenges faced by Veterans of the United States Armed Forces and the strain of combat operations.  They have proven effective in the 40 States that have implemented this program.
